Cheers to Husbands and Bathroom Renos

When we bought our little farmhouse it needed A LOT of work. Literally on day one we walked in and my first thought was “what have we gotten ourselves into!?!?” Thankfully my husband has been in construction and renovation his whole career so our farmhouse was in luck.

The house had a lot of scary places, but by far the scariest part of our little farm house was the master bathroom. Literally, it felt like if you stepped in there something was going to jump on you or something was going to crawl in from the duct work! The bathroom was equipped with a bad plumbing, a shower that had been converted into a closet (without the plumbing removed), a garden tub that felt like it would collapse if you stepped into it and a shower head that was at about chest height. And the smell, oh the SMELL...kind of like a campground bathroom that has been sitting for a while.

Check out these before pictures, and these make it look nice (It was not!)

My husband, probably because he knew his wife was cringing inside and was only using the other bathroom, got to work right away.

It was a lot of work...

Today, our master bathroom is super cozy and perfect for our little farmhouse (ignore my amateur photos, it looks even better in real life.) Check out the clawfoot tub and old china cabinet that we found on Facebook Marketplace and painted, they really make the room.

So, here’s to husbands that have all the skills and can make your dream come true!
